February 27:

Another Fire in Mt. Horeb
MT. HOREB -- VFD was paged to assist Mt. Horeb Fire Department. MHFD was already responding to the call when reports from the Comm Center informed them that they were receiving a few calls on the fire. Mt. Horeb Fire Chief then asked for Verona Fire to be paged to assist with equipment.

Once VFD arrived on scene, the fire was already contained my MHFD, but Verona Engine 1 assisted with search and rescue and found a cat that need Oxygen.

February 17:

Fitchburg Smoke Investigation
FITCHBURG -- VFD Tender 8 and Squad 5 was dispatch along with Fitchburg Fire for a report of a house on fire in the City of Fitchburg. Initial reports stated that the house was abandon but there was a subject on scene refusing to leave the house and trying to put the fire out himself.

Fitchburg Fire (FFD) was the first on scene and was confirmed that the house was not abandon and everyone was out of the house. The fire was found on the second floor and FFD quickly attacked the fire.

Tender 8 was returned when Command determined that a water supply wasn't needed, but Squad 5 stayed on scene to assist with ventilation of the house.

No one was injured in the fire and all units returned safe.

February 10:

Mt. Horeb Fire
MT. HOREB -- Verona Engine 1 , Tender 8 (used to be called Tanker) and Ladder 3 were called to assist Mt. Horeb Fire Department for a house that was on fire outside the Village of Mt. Horeb.

First Mt. Horeb units on scene reported some smoke coming out of the house and that is when Command called for additional resources from VFD.

Tender 8 assisted with water supply and Engine 1, Ladder 3 assisted with overhaul and clean up.
