Car Vs Dump Truck

TOWN OF VERONA – VFD along with Town of Madison Rescue 66 were paged to a car versus dump truck on Hwy M just south of Hwy PD. Several calls were called into the 911 Center reporting that the car had struck the dump truck and that someone was trapped inside the vehicle.

Verona Engine 1 was the first on scene and found the driver of the car trapped in her vehicle and had some injuries. Engine 1 officer quickly asked for Fitchburg Squad 2 to be sent to assist with extrication efforts.

Town of Madison Rescue 66 got on location and took over patient care while Verona fire units worked on extricating the patient out of her vehicle.

Fitchburg’s squad was returned to quarters because Verona Squad 5 arrived on scene first and assisted Engine 1 with extrication.

Town of Madison Rescue 66 transported the driver to the hospital, while fire units picked up and returned.
