Semi trailer fire during rush
hour
 Engine 1, Engine 2, Ladder 3, Squad 5 paged today for a semi trailer
that was on fire and reported to the Comm Center as being next to or
threatening a building, the building being the Verona Area High
School.
Car 1 responded to the scene and was first on location, Fire 3 found
the trailer to be on Hwy M/Main St in front of the High School but
not close at all to be a threat to the building. The tires were
smoking and the smoke was starting to get thick.
Engine 1 was the first fire fighting vehicle on location which the
crew proceeded to attack the fire. Car 1 was command and continued
in Engine 2 and Squad 5 for support to Engine 1.
The semi trailer was not really a typical semi trailer; it was a
rock crushing unit that was being transported to another job site.
