Welcome to the Verona Fire Department website. On this website you will be able access valuable information in regards to the fire department, fire safety, educational materials and application to join the department. The Verona Fire Department responds to, on average, 500 calls a year. The types of calls include but are not limited to: fires, hazardous materials, rescue, motor vehicle collisions, extrications and medical assists. The department protects 37 square miles that is comprised of the City and Town of Verona and a small portion of the Town of Springdale. The estimated protected population is 15,000.
The Verona Fire Department is a combination department that has a part-time Fire Chief and a full-time Assistant Chief, Captain, Lieutenant and firefighter. Currently there are 24 paid on call personnel that are very dedicated to protecting and helping the citizens in and out of the district. Trainings take place every Monday from 1900 to 2100 hours.
