| Structure Fire |
TOWN OF VERONA -- VFD, Fitchburg Fire, Oregon Fire, and Fitch-Rona EMS were paged for a reported structure fire in or near the intersection of Hwy PD/White Crossing. Reports to the Comm Center was a caller had seen smoke come from or near a barn that was located near this intersection.
Engine1 and Car 1 arrived in the area and didn't see anything. All units that weren't on the scene, but responding, were told to slow down to non-emergency mode.
Engine 1 and Car 1 continued to check around the area, but nothing was ever located.
All units returned.

VERONA -- Engine 1 was paged to the area of the 300 block of S. Jefferson St. for a fire alarm sounding.
Engine 1 and Car 1 both responded to the scene, Engine 1 arrived and saw nothing from the outside of the building. Engine 1 was met by the construction company that was working at the location. The crew stated that they had just blown some dust in the area and they believed that was what had set off the alarm.
While on scene, the Comm Center reported to Engine 1 that there was smoke reportedly coming from the elevator area. Another construction worker came out and informed Engine 1 with the same information.
Engine 1 investigated the area of the smoke and found that it wasn't smoke, but more dust from the construction.

VERONA -- Engine 1 was paged to the 100 block of Jefferson St. for a reported vehicle leaking fuel.
Engine 1 arrived on scene and put oil dry down to contain and catch the leaking fuel.
| Structure Fire |
VERONA -- VFD, Fitchburg Fire, Mt. Horeb Fire, and Fitch-Rona EMS were paged to the 400 block of Edward St for a structure fire.
Engine 1 arrived on scene to light smoke showing from the rear and roof line of the two story house. The crew pulled a line and made initial attack on the fire and was backed up by a secondary line from Fitchburg Engine 2.
Crews found active fire in the kitchen and it looked like the fire was contained to that area. Additional crews searched the house for occupants that had not been accounted for at first
No residents or fire fighters were hurt in the fire and the fire was contained to the kitchen area, but there was smoke damage to the rest of the house.
TOWN OF OREGON -- Ladder 3 was paged along with Oregon Fire to report of a structure fire in the 5200 block of Netherwood Dr. Oregon Fire arrived on scene and found that there was no fire and returned all units.
VERONA -- Engine 1 responded at the request of Verona Police to 200 S Main St., to assist on an accident scene with a possible fuel spill. Engine 1 arrived and checked the vehicle that was spilling the liquid. The liquid was antifreeze only. Engine 1 assisted with traffic control with the area was closed off for the tow trucks to remove the vehicles. |
TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD -- VFD paged for a reported vehicle on fire at the intersection of Hwy G and Hwy J. Engine 1 responded to the location of the call and determined that there was no vehicle on fire, that the caller to 911 was calling about a car that had a lot of exhaust and thought the vehicle was on fire and should be checked.
