Mutual Aid Structure Fire - City of Fitchburg On Derby Road

Verona Engine 1 and Tender 7 were requested to respond to a structure fire in the City of Fitchburg on Derby Road. Upon arrival Fitchburg Fire was working well involved fire in the kitchen and living room area of the home. Once on scene Verona Engine 1 was assigned to complete a secondary search of the structure. While completing the search Engine 1 Firefighter Jeremy Pings found the family dog hiding under some blankets and removed it from the structure. Other than being covered in soot and scared the dog was fine.
