On October 9, 2017, full-time Lieutenant/Inspector Dan Machotka was promoted to Deputy Chief of Support Services/Mechanic for the Verona Fire Department, which was a newly created position within the Fire Department. Machotka started with the Verona Fire Department on December 15, 2010, as a Paid-On-Premise Firefighter. He was promoted to part-time Training Lieutenant on December 12, 2011, then to part-time Assistant Chief of Training on April 1, 2015. On July 7, 2015, Machotka accepted a full-time Lieutenant/Inspector position with the Department. Machotka brings the required mechanical abilities and experiences to his position. Deputy Chief Machotka also serves on the Black Earth and Mount Horeb Fire Departments and is a Fire Service Instructor for MATC . Congratulations Deputy Chief Machotka.
