The Verona Fire Department was one of six departments that were awarded a cofferdam used in grain bin rescue for being the first departments registered for the training. 15 of our members attended a one day hands on training & classroom lectures on grain bin rescue, auger & PTO entanglement, and how to empty a grain bin in an emergency. This training was put on by the Dane County Farm Bureau and was held on the Doerfer Farm in Verona, with instruction from Stateline Farm Rescue.
